The latest version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is here, offering the ultimate in cloud-based enterprise resource planning for SMEs, enterprise and beyond…

From finance to operations, sales to customer service, supply chain to project management, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is the ultimate all-in-one business solution, unifying your ERP, and helping you make truly informed, data-driven decisions.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central offers a unified approach to ERP, meaning detailed, granular reporting is available at the drop of a hat. Manage critical functions company-wide, tracking resources, timeframes and sharing of information across the business. Generate forecasts for the future or create real time inventory levels. Take advantage of vendor discounts and automated reminders to help you avoid overdue penalties. Tailor everything to your needs (no code needed) and add third party integrations and add-ons easily.

Now, with the 2019’s Wave 2 release, the capabilities of D365 Business Central go even further. With the help of Acumen Consulting, Dynamics 365 BC can provide a next generation business software solution optimised for you and your digital transformation plan.

What’s new for Wave 2?

Accessibility

Accessibility is key to the MS Dynamics 365 BC experience, so Microsoft has made it available everywhere. Users can access Business Central in their browser via the Windows 10 desktop app, mobile apps on Android and iOS, or in Outlook, allowing users across your business full functionality no matter where work takes them.

The 2019 release wave 2 is the first version that does not include the Dynamics NAV Client connected to Business Central (also known as the Windows client). The modern clients now support so many productivity features that the Windows client is discontinued for Business Central going forward.

List view

Users can now save their list filters – no matter how complex or personalised – to easily access any data relevant to their request, and nothing else. Users can also customise fields – hiding or displaying what’s most relevant – offering huge flexibility and efficiency gains. And yes, those personalisations work across browsers and apps.

More personalisation options

Among the many improvements in personalisation capabilities, Business Central now allows businesses to create their own customisable search terms, an invaluable tool to help staff find the pages and reports they are looking for with little training required.

Advanced AI

For sales-focused businesses, the Wave 2 release brings expanded synchronization and improved sales order integration, as well as advanced AI insights. Access critical performance metrics, operational data, and emerging trends, or create AI-powered bots that chat with customers. Add to that advanced AI fraud protection to minimise losses and increase bank acceptance rates.

Application lifecycle management

For partners with customers on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, managing the lifecycle of the customer, providing support, updates and testing has never been easier or more flexible. Download database backups, create multiple production environments or get access for technical updates with ease.

ISV acceleration

The Wave 2 update simplifies ISV development, streamlining the migration from the source code customisation model of Dynamics NAV to Business Central. The new release also streamlines the migration of data from Business Central on-premises, Dynamics GP 2018 R2, and Dynamics SL 2018 CU2.

Multiple production environments

Based on user feedback, the new update allows for the creation of multiple production environments. Take, for example, a multinational company using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and operating across multiple regulatory environments. That company can now create discrete production environments for business divisions and subsidiaries that operate in different countries or regions across the world. Administrators can produce multiple production environments – including the option for country- or region-specific environments easily, and as the company grows Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central scales alongside it, effortlessly.

And there’s more coming

Updates will continue through to March 2020.

Offering huge flexibility and myriad productivity improvements for users, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is your end-to-end ERP solution. From financials to supply chains, relationship management to human resources, project and resource management, warehouse management and even manufacturing, MS 365 Business Central helps you automate and streamline processes across the business.
